Circulate. Protect. Recover

Posted on

Great article from Jess Horton, The Fit Petite

If you run with me, then you know I begin to burn up quickly running outdoors…even on the coldest of days. One accessory I usually have with me are my SureSport Compression Sleeves. I wear my sleeves usually under my long sleeve layer at the beginning of most races or long runs. They are the perfect piece for me because my body temp fluctuates during a race and I can flip the sleeves up or down. This easy access accessory is less cumbersome than pulling an other layer over my head. On one of the bitter cold Saturdays we had in February I wore my sleeves under my fleece running turtleneck. About halfway into an 11 miler, my top layer came off and my tank and arm sleeves were exposed. This was the perfect layer to keep me semi-covered and comfortable for the double digit miles.

On Shamrock Half Marathon Day, Virginia Beach could serve us up any range of temperatures. Chances are, like last year I will be in shorts but will be sporting my arm sleeves. Alongside their sleeves, SureSport offers a full line of compression as well. Their compression socks would be a great option for runners on race day as well. SureSport arm sleeves and compression socks do more than keep you warm. They help reduce muscle soreness as well.

The Fit Petite

Arm compression sleeves are used by athletes of all levels in all sports because they ensure proper circulation, provide some protection and improve workout recovery. This product by SureSport is latex free. SureSport offers more than just sleeves and socks. The have become a leader in the industry providing a wide range of sports orthopedics, braces, supports, compression, and kinetic tape. Customer service is extremely important to them and their products are backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

SureSport compression socks are made with a special design for added muscle support in both the shins and calves as well as arch support. Other special features include a non-compression toe-box for superior comfort. Compression socks can be worn for many purposes such as racing, post-workout, recovery, and travel.

They may be worn pre-exercise to reduce the risk of injury and help with muscle activation, during exercise to optimize athletic performance, or post-exercise to deliver faster muscle recovery. They can also be used during long flights or car rides to reduce swelling in the lower legs and feet and help aid in preventing blood clots and varicose veins.

Our friends at SureSport will be exhibiting at the Shamrock Expo again this year where you can meet them for yourself. Be sure to mention code Fit Petite for a special SureSport discount.

Finishing up in May and having the summer months off to recoup, relax, and just work the normal 9 to 5 at the office is always nice. It’s a welcomed break from the constant booking, driving, flying, packing, [...]
